Courtenay Tour Locations

Comox Valley Farmers Market
Every Saturday in 1992 ten local farmers gathered to sell their produce under the guidance of the district agriculturalist. Today our market runs year round with ninety members selling locally grown, baked or processed products. Each week, they create community by promoting and supporting local producers, and providing occasion for the folks of Comox Valley to access food that is good for their families and the land that supports us all.

Hot Chocolates & Cake Bread Bakery
This stop is “Three in One”. Hot Chocolates was the first chocolatier in the valley. They also make great gelatos making it an ideal stop to get a refreshing delicious home-made ice cream cone! Cakebread Bakery is in the same location; it is an artisan bakery and a pastry shop. People come from far and wide to get their scrumptious breads and pastries.

Natural Pastures Cheese Company
This famous Courtenay cheese company has received many awards for their specialty cheeses. They also produce a delicious bocconcini, called “Bocconcini di Buffalla” made with buffalo milk from the Fairburn Farm, in the Cowichan Valley. It is unique in Canada!

Prontissima Pasta
For more than five years, Sarah and Wally have created delicious artisan pastas made in the pure Italian tradition. They sell their pasta at the Farmers’ Market as well as in local stores and   restaurants of Comox Valley. The Rosewall Crescent store is now the new home of Prontissima Pasta. They have a larger studio where they create their tasty pastas and sauces, and they also have a retail counter where people can get their products six days a week.
